9:15 AM – 11:20 AM Strengthening, running and footwork drills.
The Rookie program develops agility, strength and techniques as organized by Coach Rebhuhn and it follows the USTA Quick Start Program, modeled on the French Early Training Method that uses shorter rackets, lighter balls and smaller courts. Juniors usually use standard size equipment but that depends on the child’s strength, agility and technique development. Ground stroke and volley technique development.
11:30 AM – 11:55 AM Mini court games
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Lunch (Pick up for Half Day Campers)
1:00 PM – 1:30 PM Serve and Returns
1:30 PM – 3:00 PM Match Play

What happens if it rains or is extremely hot?
Safety is our number one priority. In the event of rain or extreme heat, the children are brought inside to the the gym where they can play basketball or volleyball. This time is also used to go over tennis techniques and strategy.
